Sept. 17, The Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) has launched the Mobile Device Management System (MDMS) to control the illegal import of mobile phones.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki inaugurated the system. The stolen and lost sets also will be tracked and blocked. The Minister stressed the need for effective implementation of the MDMS.
IMS Group, the importer and supplier of mobile phones of the Samsung brand expressed its hope that the MDMS will systematize the trade of mobile phones.
