Oct. 12: Candidates can withdraw their candidacy for the upcoming election of members of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the Provincial Assembly today. It is from 10:00 to 13:00 by visiting the Offices of the Chief Returning Officers and the Returning Officers by the candidates themselves or by their representatives.
The final list of the candidates will then be published from 13:00 to 15:00 and the election symbols will be provided to the candidates from 16:00.
The EC has already established 165 election officers with 77 Chief Returning Officers and 88 Returning Officers.
A total of 2,291 men and 235 women candidates are contesting for the 165 seats for the HoR. In the same way, altogether 3,476 candidates are competing for 330 seats under the the Provincial Assembly.
