Solukhumbu Trail Race, one of the longest distance races of the country, is set from October 23.
According to event coordinator of The Small World, the 310 km. race is the highest altitude race and will run for 15 days. It will start from Solududhkunda Dhap-8 of Solukhumbu district, continue through Dhap, Pikey Peak, Namche, and Gokyo and finish at the same point after taking a turn from the Everest Base Camp. 40 international runners and about 24 home athletes will participate in it.
The international participants will also make documentaries during the race and it will be helpful in uplifting sports tourism in the country, Karma Sherpa, the president of the organizing committee, said.
