Kathmandu, Feb. 21: The Ministry of Finance has ensured extra Rs. 7.50 billion to purchase the chemical fertilizers. It is as per a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development.
Rs. 2.40 billion will be arranged from the budget allocated for the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development and Rs. 2.50 billion will be included in the budget of the next fiscal year. Similarly, around Rs. 2.60 billion will be paid after the account is created. The government has allocated Rs. 15 billion to purchase the chemical fertilizers for the current fiscal year.
A discussion was held among the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Jwala Kumari Sah, Agriculture Secretary Govinda Prasad Sharma and others.
