Kathmandu, Feb. 22: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has assured to recommend the candidate to appoint Chief Justice.
In a meeting with the delegation of the Nepal Bar Association at the official residence of Prime Minister, Bar’s Chairperson Gopal Krishna Ghimire demanded it with the PM. The seat of Chief Justice in the Supreme Court and Justices in the High Courts lying vacant has affected badly, said Ghimire.
The Acting Chief Justice has been working the Supreme Court’s responsibilities since February 13, 2022. Likewise, High Courts in many districts have been functioning in the strength on Acting Justices.
