Sudurpaschim Province CM to take Vote of Trust

Sudurpaschim, Mar.1: Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has prepared to take the vote of trust in the Province Assembly.

According to his secretariat, he is preparing it within coming March 5. As part of his preparation, Shah has made stronger meetings and discussions with senior leaders of the ruling alliance partners. Shah who was appointed the CM on February 9 as per the Article 168 (3) of the Constitution has to take vote of trust within coming March 10.

Shah was appointed as the parliamentary party leader of the Nepali Congress in the Province Assembly. He needs support from 27 province assembly to secure vote of trust. In the 53-member Province Assembly, NC has 19 members followed by UML (10), Maoist Centre (11) with Speaker, Nagarik Unmukti (7), Unified Socialist (4) and RPP and Independent 1 each.

After general elections of November, UML parliamentary party leader Rajendra Singh Rawal was appointed the CM there but he had resigned from the post after failing to secure a vote of trust.
