Lalitpur, Mar. 1: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ emphasized the quality development of the sports sector. Inaugurating the Chyasal Stadium in Lalitpur, PM Dahal promised an increase in the budget of the sports sector from the next fiscal year.
The PM focused that he had prioritized sports for health and wellbeing besides for nation, economy, and international brotherhood. He recalled his contribution to the reconstruction of the Dasarath Stadium in Kathmandu in talks with the government of China.
Likewise, National Sports Council’s Member Secretary Tankalal Ghising claimed that it was an alternative to the Dasarath Stadium in Kathmandu Valley. President of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Pankaj Bikram Nembang shared that the Dahal-led government had been contributing significantly to the development of sports in the country.
The stadium was built by Danfe Prerana Pratisthan JV Company at the cost of over Rs. 280 million. It has three walls and can accommodate 6,200 audiences.
