Orientation of Eight-party Alliance

Kathmandu, Mar. 2: An orientation session for the presidential election will be organized today for the members of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly associated with the recently formed eight-party alliance.

One of the coalition partners, Nepali Congress, will coordinate the session. NC Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel said that it will take place at Royal Banquet at Tinkune, Kathmandu, at 1 pm.

According to him, there will be the parliamentarians belonging to the eight-party coalition (NC, CPN (Maoist Centre), Janata Samajwadi Party, CPN (Unified Socialist), Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, Janamat Party, Rastriya Janamorcha and Nagarik Unmukti).

Top leaders of the alliance will advise the parliamentarians to vote NC’s leader Ram Chandra Paudel, a common candidate for the new president from the coalition. Supported by the eight-party alliance, Paudel has filed his candidacy for the position.
