Nepal Police-Everest Bank Scholarship Fund

Kathmandu, Mar. 7: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Nepal Police and Everest Bank Limited for cooperation to establish the ‘Nepal Police-Everest Bank Scholarship Fund’ during a programme held at the Nepal Police Headquarters on Monday.

On the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Sudesh Khaling handed over a cheque of Rs. 2.5 million to Inspector General of Police Dhiraj Pratap Singh and exchanged the MoU documents.

IGP Singh thanked the Bank for the agreement and expressed his belief that more and more descendants of police personnel will benefit from it. CEO Khaling said that the bank has been helping in various areas of the country under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of the bank, and he was happy to contribute to the Nepal Police which is working round the clock to protect the lives of citizens.

As per the agreement, the Nepal Police Head Office, Welfare Division will provide annual fee, examination fee, stationery to at least two hardworking students to the children of police personnel from serving, retired, martyrs and disabled police office assistants to senior rank studying in Nepal Police Schools.
