Rukum, Mar. 13: Police have found 23 unclaimed guns in the district in one month.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Anjana Shrestha said that police had first seized two guns from Sishne Rural Municipality along with two persons before some days. The two men are now facing court cases in the district, she said.
According to police, 21 others were found in different forest areas of Sishne and Bhume Rural Municipalities. Police said that they could not find out any information about the persons and reasons for keeping guns.
The police said that the guns were found when a special task force was on the way. The locals had reported them about these weapons.
