Kathmandu, Mar. 16: The government has removed the provision of two-year in issuing labour permit for foreign employment. According to the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, it was removed with decision from the office of the Prime-Minister.
A new provision has been made to issue labour permit determining the period on the basis of contract permit to work in the destination country. It is on the basis of the contract signed between the employers and workers also.
The government had been issuing two-year work permit to all going for overseas employment before. The government has made arrangement to provide re-labour permit from Nepali diplomatic missions in destination countries too.
