Kathmandu, May 4: The police have arrested Tek Narayan Pandey, secretary at the Office of Vice President. Pandey is on a charge of involvement in a fraud of sending people to the United States identifying them as Bhutanese refugees.
Deputy Inspector General of Police and Spokesperson for the Nepal Police, Kuber Kadayat said that a team from the District Police Range, Kathmandu arrested him from Pepsikola.
Before being transferred, Pandey worked at the Ministry of Home Affairs. He is reportedly involved in the illegal act when he was posted at the Ministry.
