Kathmandu, May 17: The Supreme Court (SC) supported the decision of Dipayal High Court on a case relating to Tikapur killing which had handed down life imprisonment to Resham Chaudhary.
Justices Dr. Ananda Mohan Bhattarai and Nahakul Subedi gave such judgement. Chaudhary had filed an appeal at the SC seeking a review on the High Court’s decision.
Similarly, another opponent Laxman Tharu is handed down 3 years in imprisonment by reducing 5 years of jail time directed by the Dipayal High Court.
However, Ganga Ram Chaudhary and Sita Ram Chaudhary, who were jailed in the same case, have gotten a clean chit.
