Removal of nation-wide shutdown programme

Kathmandu, May 20: Nagarik Unmukti Party has removed nation-wide shutdown programme announced from May 20-24.

Issuing a press release, senior vice-chairperson of the party, Damodar Pandit, said that it occurred after Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ announced to release the report of Lal Commission in the Parliament while the bill on criminal offense has already been tabled.

According to the statement, it has been postponed until next notice as the Prime Minister expressed commitment in the parliament to release its leaders and cadres after amending the laws.
